Veteran and military-focused storyteller brings nearly two decades of experience in strategic communications, filmmaking, fundraising, and nonprofit leadership to Red Star Foundation.

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Red Star Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Bob Vincent, founder and president of Reel Heroes Media, to its Board of Advisors.

Vincent is an executive producer, creative director, filmmaker, photographer, and strategic storyteller who has spent nearly two decades helping mission-driven organizations communicate their purpose, preserve meaningful stories, and inspire people to take action.

A nationally recognized storyteller, Vincent has been featured multiple times in U.S. Veterans Magazine for his work supporting veterans and military families through visual storytelling. In 2018, he received the Carlton Sherwood Media Award from the Blinded American Veterans Foundation, presented on Flag Day in the U.S. House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs hearing room at the United States Capitol, recognizing his outstanding service to American veterans, especially those with sensory disabilities.

Throughout his career, Vincent has worked with nonprofit organizations, Fortune 500 companies, military leaders, first responders, entertainers, innovators, and community organizations across the country. His extensive experience in strategic communications, partnership development, fundraising storytelling, and live-event production will help Red Star Foundation expand its national reach and strengthen its ability to serve current military, veterans, first responders, and Red Star Families.

For more than a decade, Vincent supported American Airlines Military & Veterans Initiatives, including American Airlines Sky Ball, Snowball Express, Salute to the Troops, Invincible Spirit Festivals, and other national programs honoring wounded veterans, Gold Star Families, military caregivers, and first responders.

He has also worked alongside organizations and companies including the Gary Sinise Foundation, DEKA Research & Development, Disney, MGM Resorts International, the USO, Airpower Foundation, Abby Adams Kids, and Red Star Foundation. His work has included documentaries, advocacy films, national fundraising campaigns, photography, live-event productions, and strategic communications supporting charitable organizations and the communities they serve.

Vincent has produced hundreds of films, documentaries, and live productions. His career highlights include producing the International Space Station opening film for American Airlines Sky Ball and creating the “Save the iBOT” advocacy film, narrated by Gary Sinise, which inventor Dean Kamen later described as “the most valuable tool in our toolbox” for helping communicate the importance of continuing the next-generation iBOT Mobility System. He also produced the documentary Lucca, which has been viewed more than 212,000 times, along with fundraising and storytelling campaigns that have helped support millions of dollars in charitable giving.

Vincent has also served as a contributing writer for U.S. Veterans Magazine, authoring a feature article documenting the 2020 National Medal of Honor Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, where Reel Heroes Media produced the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Patriot Awards Gala.

As a member of the Red Star Foundation Board of Advisors, Vincent will provide guidance in the areas of:

Strategic storytelling and communications
Brand development and national awareness
Film, photography, and documentary production
Fundraising communications
Corporate and nonprofit partnerships
Live-event production
Long-term organizational planning

Vincent earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Programming Technology from Purdue University, with a minor in Networking & Telecommunications Technology. He is also an FAA Part 107-certified Remote Pilot and previously founded Video Pilot 360 before launching Reel Heroes Media.

“Stories change hearts. Hearts change lives,” Vincent said. “I’ve simply been fortunate enough to tell some of those stories.”

Red Star Foundation looks forward to working with Vincent as the organization continues building a nationwide network dedicated to preventing suicide and ensuring that families affected by suicide are never forgotten.
