Red Star Gala Committees

The Inaugural Red Star Gala will take place on February 28, 2026 in Tampa, FL. Here is a list of committees that we will need sponsors for. Please review this list and then sign up HERE.

★ 1. Sponsorship & Fundraising Committee
Volunteers focus on generating financial support through sponsorships and donations. They work to build relationships with potential donors and promote fundraising initiatives tied to the gala.
• Help create and distribute sponsorship materials.
• Reach out to businesses, organizations, and individuals for sponsorships.
• Help distribute sponsorship materials.
• Work closely with the auction team to align fundraising goals

★ 2. Program & Speakers Committee
Volunteers help shape the event’s schedule and secure impactful speakers and honorees. This group ensures the program is compelling and runs smoothly from start to finish.
• Identify and assist in booking speakers, honorees and emcees.
• Help draft and review the event schedule and program flow.
• Support coordination of rehearsals and timing with AV/entertainment.
• Provide assistance and hospitality to speakers before and during the event.

★ 3. Marketing & Public Relations Committee
Volunteers support all efforts to promote the gala and share the mission of the Red Star Foundation. They help build awareness and drive attendance through media and outreach.
• Distribute marketing materials and share event info with networks.
• Assist with media outreach and press release distribution.
• Manage and update social media content and event promotion.
• Help design and produce printed and digital materials.

★ 4. Guest Experience & Hospitality Committee
Volunteers ensure that every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and informed throughout the evening. This includes logistics from arrival to departure.
• Manage the check-in process and registration table.
• Help coordinate VIP guests, valet and accessibility services.
• Assist with guest communications and RSVP tracking.
• Serve as on-site support to answer questions and guide guests.

★ 5. Decorations & Atmosphere Committee
Volunteers in this committee create the visual design and environment of the gala, ensuring a beautiful and meaningful setting that reflects the event’s mission.
• Help plan and execute the décor and layout.
• Set up tribute areas like a Red Star Remembrance Wall.
• Coordinate with vendors on lighting, floral and signage.
• Ensure the atmosphere aligns with the program’s tone.

★ 6. Entertainment & Production Committee
Volunteers coordinate the evening’s entertainment and technical elements. They work behind the scenes to ensure a polished and engaging experience for guests.
• Assist in booking performers or musical acts.
• Coordinate with AV teams to manage lights, sound and video.
• Help prepare scripts and timing for presenters and emcees.
• Support stage and production rehearsals.

★ 7. Silent/Live Auction Committee
Volunteers focus on acquiring, organizing, and presenting auction items to maximize fundraising. They ensure a smooth and exciting auction experience.
• Reach out to potential item donors and collect contributions.
• Organize auction displays and digital bidding systems.
• Support the live auction logistics and item promotion.
• Engage with guests to encourage participation and bidding.

★ 8. Volunteer Coordination Committee
This group manages all gala volunteers, ensuring each person knows their role and contributes effectively to the event’s success.
• Help recruit and onboard volunteers across all committees.
• Create schedules and assign roles for the event.
• Communicate expectations, dress codes and logistics.
• Serve as team leads to help coordinate volunteers on the day of the event.

★ 9. Mission Integration Committee
Volunteers make sure that the Red Star Foundation’s mission is central to every moment of the evening. They help design and present emotional, powerful elements that honor those affected by suicide.
• Coordinate with families or speakers sharing testimonies.
• Set up tribute tables, educational displays and Red Star banners.
• Ensure the mission is communicated clearly to all attendees.
