Red Star Banners
We need an estimated 9,000 service banners each year.
Over 8,000 veterans, 500 current military and 500 first responders take their life each year. Creating around 9,000 new Red Star families. We need to get each of these families a Red Star Banner.
In addition, the 9,000 annually does not include the over 150,000 current Red Star families that also need banners.
Red Star Pins
We need an estimated 9,000 service pins each year as well.
Each Red Star family will receive a Red Star banner and pin.

Veterans Suicide Awareness Ribbons
Our goal is to give out at least 100,000 awareness ribbons each year.
The Veterans Suicide Awareness Ribbon serves as a powerful emblem of remembrance, advocacy, and hope. This ribbon honors the lives of military personnel, veterans, and first responders lost to suicide, while raising awareness about the urgent need for mental health support and suicide prevention. Serving as one of the cornerstones of the Red Star Foundation’s mission, it plays a vital role in the Foundation’s mission to combat veteran suicide and support affected families.
Red Star Voices
Our goal is to make at least 25 videos each year. These stories will:
– Expression of Grief: Sharing their stories provides a platform for families to process emotions and find meaning in their loss. Articulating their experiences can be a therapeutic act of remembrance and validation.
– Build Connections: Families who watch these videos may find solace in realizing they are not alone in their journey, fostering a sense of community and understanding.
– Acknowledgment and Validation: Recognizing and honoring the lives of their loved ones in a public and meaningful way can offer families comfort and closure.
