Prevention means reducing the risk of suicide before a crisis. Postvention means support after a suicide loss, for the people left behind, including Red Star Families. The directory brings both together for current military, veterans, first responders, and their families.

Red Star Foundation Leadership and Background
Red Star Foundation works to prevent suicide among current military, veterans, and first responders, and to recognize and support Red Star Families. Its values are Hope, Recognition, and Connection. Through Honoring the Forgotten Families, the foundation recognizes families who have lost a loved one to suicide. The directory connects that family support with prevention by helping people find services.
